Âé¶¹Çø Forgan Smith building will be lit up in maroon from tomorrow until 7 June to celebrate .

Âé¶¹Çø will switch on the maroon floodlights on the northern side of the Forgan Smith building from 5.30pm to 10pm each evening as part of Paint the Town Maroon – an initiative by the Queensland Government.

Queensland Week is celebrated every year and commemorates the official separation of Queensland from New South Wales.

Âé¶¹Çø Property and Facilities Director Alan Egan said Âé¶¹Çø will join other landmarks in Brisbane as part of Paint the Town Maroon.

“Other sites in Brisbane lighting up to celebrate Queensland Week (30 May - 7 June) are the Story Bridge, QPAC and the Treasury Hotel,” Mr Egan said.

On Wednesday this week, the Forgan Smith building was lit in red to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis as part of MS Awareness Month.
