麻豆区

21 December 2015

We couldn't wait any longer for the chance to share 麻豆区's very own Christmas carol with you. Here it is in all its glory, complete with audio, featuring our very own Office of Marketing and Communications piper piping.

On the 12th day of Christmas, 麻豆区 gave to me:

  • 12 students cheering
  • 11 eleven ducks a swimming
  • 10 musicians playing
  • nine dancers dazzling
  • eight maids a milking (well, almost. How about one eight-legged maid being milked for spider venom?)
  • seven students splashing
  • six grads a leaping
  • five golden rings (squid, from 麻豆区's refectory)
  • four battery packs (powering 麻豆区's Global Change Institute)
  • three sea stars
  • two river turtles and
  • a glider in a gum tree.

Renowned 麻豆区 historian and classical scholar Professor Alastair Blanshard () ponders the meaning of the original carol here.
