麻豆区鈥檚 (麻豆区) School of Architecture has opened the studio doors to showcase its latest architectural works at the annual Summer Exhibition.
The Summer Exhibition, officially opening tomorrow, November 22, offers a diverse and exciting collection of student architectural design work on real world projects and explorations of new possibilities for living and working.
Running until December 7, the Summer Exhibition will feature drawings, models and computer simulations by more 300 architecture students.
Head of the 麻豆区 School of Architecture Professor John Macarthur said the annual exhibition was a great opportunity for the wider public to gain an insight into architectural theory and practice.
鈥淭he energy and imagination of the students continue to inspire their teachers and the professional architects who attend the exhibition,鈥 Professor Macarthur said.
The opening night of the Summer Exhibition will feature a speech by Architectus鈥 Design Director, Professor John Hockings.
Architectus is the practice behind the design of Brisbane鈥檚 Gallery of Modern Art.
Professor Hockings will present the design ideas that inspired Architectus鈥 latest city project, the new Brisbane Supreme Court and District Court Complex, which has transformed the city鈥檚 urban landscape.
The free exhibition will open weekdays between 9am to 5pm until 7 December 2012.
